This policy explains how AAWA Pilates collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our website, the AAWA app and our studio in Doha. We follow Qatar's Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (Law No. 13 of 2016).
Who we are
AAWA Pilates, Doha, State of Qatar, is the controller of your personal data. Contact us at studio@aawapilates.com for any privacy question or request.
What we collect
- Your name, mobile number and email address.
- Your date of birth, if you give it to us.
- Health screening answers (PAR-Q), pregnancy details you share with us, and any medical clearance letter you upload.
- Your bookings, attendance, packs and memberships.
- Payment records: amount, date and the payment reference. Payments are made on SkipCash's secure page. We never see or store your card details.
- Messages you send us, and your waiting list details if you join before we open.
- Basic technical data, such as error reports from the app.
Why we use it
- To create and run your account, bookings and packs.
- To keep you safe in class: instructors see only the health information they need to teach you.
- To take payments and keep financial records.
- To send you service messages about your bookings, packs and account.
- To fix problems and improve the app.
Your health data
Health and pregnancy information is sensitive personal data. We collect it only with your explicit consent, given when you complete the health screening, and use it only for your safety in class. It is visible only to authorised studio staff, and every access is logged. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Without it we may not be able to let you take part in some classes.
Who we share it with
We never sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it for us under contract:
- SkipCash, to take payments.
- Supabase, to host our database and file storage.
- Vercel, to host our website and app.
- Resend, to send our emails.
- Apple and Google, only if you choose to sign in with them.
- Sentry, to receive error reports, with health data removed.
We may also disclose data where Qatari law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you close your account we delete it, except signed waivers and payment records, which we keep for as long as Qatari law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to:
- See the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete your data.
- Withdraw your consent.
You can download your data and request deletion in the app under Account, Privacy and data, or email studio@aawapilates.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the data protection office of Qatar's National Cyber Security Agency.
Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we will tell you in the app before they take effect.
